2013 Ford Focus, started a clunking noise at the front driver's side a few months back. Unrelated repair two months ago, had both lower control arms on the front replaced. Shop swore up and down that's all they found, everything else looked good. Went to change something else today and noticed where the noise was coming from, but don't have enough experience to determine what's bad. No play in wheel doing 9/3 and 12/6 test with the tire on, but this can't be a normal sound.
Bad tie rod, or bad axle?
