How do I prolong the life of my Civic

I have a 91 Honda Civic sedan with the 1.5 sohc engine, and 298,000 miles. It runs and drives great and has no major problems.  My dream is to reach the 500,000 mile mark with this vehicle. I know it's a long shot and not very likely at all, but that being said, what can I do/keep an eye on to get as much life out of this car as possible? Are there particular problems with these 4th gen civics I should know about/plan for? Thanks

I don't think it is a long shot, those cars are known to last. If it is a 1991 then I would say just keep doing what you are doing, clearly you are doing something right.

Besides regular maintenance and look for rusts, the most important maintenance is timing belt replacement since these engines are interference.

Just keep up with the maintenance, it seems like you are doing a great job though.
