G'day Scotty and Community,

I have a 2007 Holden VE Commodore with the 3.6 Litre V6 (known as an alloytec, here in Australia). I've replaced the upper intake manifold gasket along with 6 NGK spark plugs. Since then, never prior, I have noticed a quiet but consistent clicking sound coming from cylinder no. 4 - I am curious to know if its a bad coil and/or leads or something more sinister?

Any offer of help would be most appreciated.

Kind regards,

Lachlan

  • Well you can swap coils around see if it's noise and wires you can change the coils and wires around swap to see if the noise moves up not it would be hydraulic lifters which is relatively common

Great, thank you.
