I have a 2007 honda accord with a 6 speed manual transmission. It has around 130,000 miles on it. Its been a great car, however I've noticed that sometimes it can be hard to shift from 1st gear to 2nd gear. Should I change the gear oil, or is it a synchronizer going bad?

Are the other gears ok to shift?
Yes. Other gears seem fine. Btw, Sometimes its hard to upshift from 1st to 2nd. Downshifting is not an issue

Start by changing the gear oil if it’s never ever been changed before.

And craw under it inspect linkage, could be binding sometimes due to wear, impact, etc.
Good point!

Internal problem... hub gear, hub sleeve
