do i really have to use honda genuine antifreeze in my 2008 honda fit?

It's probably not essential and Honda wouldn't make it themselves, they would buy it from someone else. However, the Honda stuff doesn't cost that much more so will be getting the peace of mind for a small price difference.

If the coolant color be the same it probably is good enough if you really need to save a few bucks. The honda stuff is just bought and slapped on with honda genuine logo.
