Honda civic 2007 dx AT. So when i start my car, doesn’t matter hot or cold and then put it in either D OR R gear, i can feel a little jerk. When its running its smooth but only the very first time it jerks. I checked fluid level all good, changed it too. I checked leakages and there were none. There were no code on obd2.
please let me know what should i check.
the jerk is very little and the transmission is smooth after so confused.
You can't expect a generic OBD2 code reader to see manufacturer-specific transmission codes if there are any. Most consumer-grade scan tools will read generic codes only.
You did not state how many miles are on the car. However considering the thing is 18 years old that kind of issue doesn't sound unexpected. Has the transmission been properly serviced over the last nearly two decades (fluid and filter changes)? Have you checked engine/transmission mounts and drive axles for wear?
@chucktobias yes i did check mounts and they are okay. I got the OBD from mechanic and its approx 3k so i dont think it will leave any code.
The km are 199000
Always post your odometer per the instructions please. Check your motor/transmission mounts.
@imperator mounts are okay. I got them checked already. And my mechanic was not able to figure it out.
Its on 199000 km and continues.
