Hello, i have problem with Honda Civic 2008 1.8 manual 88000 miles. When i start my car i get ABS error Open circuit in left hand front wheel speed sensor 13-1 Permement DTC. After moving a little bit error disappear but ABS is always active, aways grinding when braking (just like driving on snow or when heavy braking). After 5 mins or/and accelerating to 40mp/h ABS error comes back again so ABS completely shuts off. No more grinding.

I changed and cleanded abs sensor, did not help. ABS sensor get's readings from CV joint but it's fine. Maybe it's wiring, maybe it's ABS pump, i don't know. Sometimes i hear very small sound from the engine when i start moving and only when the ABS error is off. I suspect ABS pump.

Please don’t double post, thanks.

Well yeah I would suspect us a short somewhere then and a wiring to the pump for the pump itself you can't work on those abs systems without a dealer level scan tool to do bi-directional testing. Otherwise you just guessing

Actually ABS is reading from wheel bearing, not CV joint (my mistake).I did not get proper radings from it. After replacing the bearing problem was fixed. I hope people will see this post and it's gonna help. My car is Honda Civic 2008 mk8 hatchback (european model). Maybe it's the same for asian and american versions as well, but i'm not sure.
