Hello!

Which car do you think will be a good first car for a 20 year old? 2009 honda civic manual with close to 300000 km, (clutch replaced recently) or a Kia Rio with 150000 km clutch still in good condition. I know Hondas are reliable but is 300000 too much mileage? Thanks love the contect!

Honda, all day long.

I would get the Honda. The 4 cylinder with manual transmission is a bullet proof combination you can get in a Honda.

With that mileage it would be a toss-up but it would depend on price to if the Kia was the same price or less I'd get that

if it was the automatic transmission Honda Civic I would’ve got the Kia but because it’s the standard I would buy the civic all day long. Have a friend who bought one with that mileage and he’s put 50,000 more km on it since and still has no issues. Bring a mechanic to check them both out but 4 cylinder engine with the standard transmission is bulletproof!

That’s my favorite exterior design of civic, combined with an amazing reliable engine and a manual transmission.  It still has some good life left to it.

Between Honda and Kia I would definitely go with a Honda.
