You have to diagnose what is causing the overheating.
Possibilities:
Stuck thermostat?
Plugged up radiator?
Coolant spent and unable to perform to spec?
Problems with the water pump? (This would most likely have a coolant leak).
Fan assembly not working adequately?
These are a few possibilities.

The first step is to plug in a decent OBDII code reader (such as a Blue Driver) and find out if you have any Diagnostic Trouble Codes. (DTCs). They provide some clues.
The second step is to perform a thorough visual inspection on top (including ensuring the fans are working and working at the correct speeds, as well as testing the coolant's properties) and from the belly of the vehicle, looking for anything problematic.
It's hard to economically fix a problem IF it has not been accurately identified, as to its source.
Start by checking the radiator cap and thermostat for proper operation.
