I got a friend with a 2013 honda civic automatic with 101500 miles. Her traction control stuck on. ABS lights on, and Power steering light on. She said that she doesn't notice any noticeable differences in driving, and when she took it to a honda dealer they said it was an electronic problem. They say that she can't pass smog until they are fixed and that it's a fuse or something like that and it would cost her almost $1k. We know they are ripping her of but is it really a fuse?
Scan for codes & post them here.
Uh, she says that she did scan it, but that there are no codes. Is that even possible? My dad says that is could be a speed sensor but that would still trip a code right?
Get a second opinion from an honest independent mechanic, near you/her.
My dad(who's a mechanic) says that it could be a speed sensor, but that is just a analysis looking at the dash
Don’t guess! There should be stored codes if the dash is lit up..
she might need a higher end scan tool to find out what's wrong. Many good shops offer this service for free.
