Honda CRV Spark Plug Misfire

My 2015 Honda CRV has gone into Limp Mode twice in the past two months, and both the dealership and my local mechanic say that spark plug #1 misfired one time causing the problem, with no other error codes. Spark plugs changed after first episode. Both episodes after highway driving x 2 hours. About 110K miles on vehicle. Any suggestions or ideas? Thanks!

Many things can cause misfires. What code or codes did the mechanic find? You could try swapping the #1 coil with another cylinder to see if the problem travels with the coil. Also see the troubleshooting section of the site FAQ.
