Scotty..with my 2018 civic LX 2 litre,no turbo,Honda there is a maintenance icon you press it tells you your oil life left. We drive ours with Econ button ON 100% of the time.as a result the oil life doesn’t get down to 20% until I do approx 12,000 kms. And it’s all highway miles as well. Is it ok to wait 12,000 kms to do an oil change in this situation ?

Also Honda maintenance codes  at 30% oil life pop up saying get an  oil change only or a code that says get an inspection done.which includes check fluid levels, grease this n that, inspect suspension, brake pads etc. Am I wasting $400 to get these inspections done every other oil change,or just get the oil changes only, and do necessary fluid changes like rad, brake fluid and valves adjusted when that time comes and forget the other stuff.
Thanks a life time Honda lover.Mike pelko in venise Quebec,Canada.

As long as you don't mind paying for the service manager's country club fees, keep doing it.

Use that maintainence minder thing for reminding you about oil changes, that's about it.
