Hey, I’m having a problem with the clutch in my 6 speed 03 G35. It shifts fine and doesn’t slip, but when I put the car in reverse or start from first and slowly release the clutch, I hear a grinding noise. My clutch fluid level is fine, what could it be? Any help would be appreciated.

Probably the throw out bearing. When was the transmission gear oil changed?

Does the grind go away when you let the clutch fully out or is it not going completely into gear? Those cars use a slave cylinder internal to the bell housing I believe… it should be part of the throw out bearing and if it gets dry it can make some noise while applying or releasing the clutch
