2015 Honda Odyssey VCM engine. This engine will shutdown cylinders to improve gas mileage, entering the ECO Mode. My Odyssey has 94K miles and has started to have a shutter, like there isn't enough power and doesn't shift down into a lower gear. There is a device listed in various forums about adding a "Muzzler" which prevents the vehicle from entering the ECO Mode. Is this a good thing for the engine or am I just creating a new problem?

If you can stop this feature (deactivating cylinders), it is much better for your engine. Data show that the engines with activating cylinders have more wear compared to normal engines.
