Hi,
I am driving a Honda with L15A7 Engine mated to a manual transmission with around 60K miles on it, while on longer journeys it consumes engine oil, happened second time now. I am using a full synthetic 5W-30 oil with it. Need suggestions what is the problem ..
Do you push the engine hard on your trips? Regarding the engine oil, stick to the recommended oil viscosity by the manufacturer.
Not very much ..i keep it at 75-80 MPH its RPMs range from 3.5-4k
To avoid oil consumption, you need to keep the rpm lower (around 2500-3000) or rebuild the engine.
Model and year?
Its a Honda City 2016 (Pakistan Market Version)
All engines will consume oil, it’s just a matter of how much. It could be a tiny negligible amount. Or some engines are prone to more oil consumption than others.
Unfortunately, I think the L15A7 may fall under the latter. According to this wiki page, oil consumption is about 1000 ml per 1200 miles. So you are actually doing better than the wiki suggests.

With that said I am not sure if it will help or not. It might, and it is basic maintenance anyway. Each cylinder allegedly has 2 spark plugs each. I recommend changing all the spark plugs out, if they have never been changed.
How much oil does it consume?
Around 250-300 Ml on a 500 mile journey
Try changing the PCV valve. Did it on my wifes CRV. Night and day difference on oil consumption
