I have a 1996 Honda Passport with an automatic transmission and 145,000 miles. A month ago I took my car to a mechanic and he installed a new radiator, water pump assembly, and all new belts. After getting the car back when I drive something under the hood rattles back and forth like it’s loose. Also the car is now leaking coolant onto the floor. I checked the radiator and it was low on coolant and the reservoir was almost empty. I added coolant to the radiator and a bit dripped on the floor by where the water pump is located. What can cause the rattling and leak? Was something installed wrong?
I would take the car back to your mechanic and explain the new issues you are having since he worked on it. If he is a good mechanic, he will fix the issue at no charge.
