Hey everyone! I was wondering what can make a 2017 Miata, with 77,000 miles, blow a horn fuse other than a wiring issue. As always thanks for the responses!
Edit: If it is a wiring issue are there any websites that can give me the wiring diagram. I am new to fixing cars and would really like to work on my own car, but today it took me 20 minutes to find the horn fuse.
The problem could be the horn itself of course. Disconnect it and see if the fuse still blows.
Don't horns typically last forever?
Don't horns typically last forever?
No.
Should last longer than 77k miles though, ofc they’re making everything cheaper nowadays so it’s possible but not likely the horn itself.
I have car horns that have lasted 60 years still working but they're not made that way any more. It's a quick easy test to see if the horn is causing the problem, at least if the horn is easily accessible.
If you’re new to working on cars, I recommend getting a Haynes Manual. It will show you lots of stuff step by step for your car.

Would have loved to buy one, but they don't make one for a 2017 Miata the newest is 2014.
