Howdy Scotty ( from Houston) I have a 18 Kia Sportage FWD 2.5 liter gasoline engine 4 speed automatic with 43k mileage. How can I keep it running forever?

Historically speaking, Hyundai and Kia products aren't known for reliability like Toyota and Honda. But if you want your car to last long, maintenance is the key and that's all you can do with any car. Maintenance. There isn't any magical spell to make them last long.

Yup maintenance, I would change the oil every 5,000 miles. Also change the coolant every once in a while.

Yeup. Good solid consistent overall maintenance and don't push it HARD! All the fluids consistently

Change engine oil/filter every 5,000 miles (or once a year, whichever comes first), also change transmission fluid (and filter if serviceable) every 40,000 miles.  Those are the key ones, although no amount of maintenance will make up for poor design/engineering by Hyundai.  Also, don’t drive the vehicle hard (with highway mileages better than city miles), and pray a lot.
