Hi Scotty….I have an old 1990 f350 with a 7.3 IDI….I left some Diesel in it for almost a year…the Diesel broke down and left this reddish sludge at the bottom of my tank… When I went to put new diesel in… It’s stirred up all the sludge on the bottom of the tank and went through my fuel filter, and clogged it. Needless to say I have to drain my fuel tank… I have a portable electric pump to take all the fuel out… But my question is, do I use power washer and some degreaser and shop vac it out ? What would you suggest ?

Please do not use your email address on a public website. If I were you, I would remove the tank and take it to a shop for steam cleaning to do it right.
