How do I find the wire that is causing the misfire?

2007 Toyota Camry XLE V6 Automatic, 186K miles.

I have been trying to resolve an intermittent code P0353 for sometime.

I believe it is a bad wire somewhere but how do I find it.

When the car is misfiring I can move around the wires where three bundles of wires come together, one from the ECU, one from the throttle body and a third from somewhere else and the problem will go away.  But there is like a hundred wires in the ECU bundle.  I really don't want to rip apart this bundle.

Any suggestions?

how do I find it.

By learning how how your car works, and which circuits are involved.

You will need your schematics, service manuals, and a tool for measuring circuits called a multimeter

You have a clue because the computer gave you a trouble code. Find out what it means and how to track it down.

Start by looking it up on obd-codes.com

Then study the schematics to find out which circuits/wires are involved, and use the multi-meter to probe and find out where the problem is.

I don't see how you can repair wires without opening the harnesses
