Hello,

How do I properly maintain a Subaru Impreza and is there anything important that I need to be aware of with this car?

I bought a third hand 2009 Subaru Impreza Hatchback before watching Scotty's Subaru videos and I'm now a bit nervous. Its the first car I bought with my own money and it is in great condition and I want it to last as long as possible. The man I bought it from was a wealthy middle aged man who said he took great care of it and said he never had an issue with it.

Car Details: 2009 Subaru Impreza, Hatchback, Japanese Import, 1.5 litre EL15 engine, 106,000km, Manual 5 speed transmission, bought for NZD $6,990, Private Dealer. Rubber timing belt changed at 93,000km.

Below is where I bought it and car details

I look forward to your response,

Thank you

Well that's really low mileage since it's kilometers and not miles. Just do the regular change the oil every 4 or 5,000 miles change the transmission fluid every 30,000 mi and baby it you never know how long it'll last
