How do I restore lost power?

I have a 1996 Lexus ES300 with 182,000 thousand miles on the clock. I've had the car for almost a year. I bought it from a former supervisor, and when I got the car, there were no records for maintenance (timing belt, water pump, spark plugs, etc) When I first got it, it was very sluggish and slow and I figured since it was a 25 year old car that it was common but I knew someone with a 97 Camry V6 and it was quicker when taking off. I have to have a heavy foot when on the gas otherwise it'll be very slow and it isn't a transmission problem. Next week on payday, I plan to take it in for a timing belt, water pump along with spark plugs. Could there be any other things I'm possibly missing that could work? I don't expect it to be fast as It's just a camry, but I don't expect it to be sluggish at the same time.

Thanks,
