I drive a 2007 Toyota avalon. Recently the gas light came on. How far do I have to go until the car will be completely out of gas?

I don’t know exactly but I’m sure it depends on how you drive. Also, it is not a smart idea to drive the car with near empty gas tank since you may end up burning out your fuel pump.

gas tank reserve is usually in the neighborhood of 10-20%
You tank is around 20 gal, so at least 2 gal of reserve. Let's say your economy is 20mpg, then you have at least 40 miles left when the gauge says 'E', until it runs dry.
