I have a 2014 gmc sierra 1500 sle with a 5.3L engine and one of my valve lifters just broke. I came here because I couldn't find online how much it would cost me to get it replaced. could you help me out?
Varies as ancillary things sometimes need to be done and also decisions need to be made on what to replace (all of the lifters, cam, etc). I show $2700 to $4200 depending preceding statement.
Here are the prices on Rockauto

Labor and additional items needing replacement during the work is where the cost comes in.
You might also try pricing them from a junk yard.

Lifters themselves aren't expensive and I would always recommend new (unless your a hot rodder which is totally different).
@toylex420
Yeah, lifters are only about $10 new.
Might be able to find a good engine replacement at a junk yard.

Yes, A lot go the route of just replacing the engine. And a "verified good" junkyard engine would be fine...if you can feel good about the verification. I'd get a crate engine if going the replacement route.
