I changed my oil in my 2008 ram 1500 5.7 hemi with proper synthetic oil, I think,
(7 litres of full snythetic oil 5w20 sae ) and reset my trucks computer. Now dash is saying to do an oil change. it has only been 3500 km since last change. Is that normal? Just thought synthetic oil lasted longer than that.

If it came back again, ignore it and just change the oil every 5k miles.

Well it could be that the truck didn't really reset. Some cars/trucks be stubborn like that. Fully synthetic can go from 5k-7.5k miles depending on vehicle and how hard you drive, considering it's a truck, I'd say every 5k miles is good. If the thing ain't having problems, I'd say just get rid of the light and be on your way, and then see if you can reset it next time.
