Good day everyone, I recently found a sunroof cover at a junkyard for my C320 sedan that was practically MINT. My car is missing the headliner part of the sunroof cover, I'm assuming because it bunched up and prevented the sunroof from opening so the previous owner just tore it off.
I just want to know how I can make this piece LAST AS LONG AS POSSIBLE. Should I just leave it and have it reupholstered whenever it gives out? Or are there any preventative measures I can take to make it last? I live in SoCal so the heat isn't generous here. Thanks 🙂
Unfortunately sun beating on it when closed is gonna do damage. You probably found one that was always open. Leaving it open does certainly stop the sun from baking it, but allows the sun to bake your center console and seats. Park under a carport, in a garage etc... They make cheap pop up tents like temporary carports. Or metal ones for about 700 bucks.
