How to update the radio firmware on a 2017 Toyota Camry LE without Entune

Hello Scotty!

Just a base model 2017 Toyota Camry LE without Entune to my knowledge.  How do I update the firmware?  I like ride with the screen off, but when I receive a call, the screen forgets it's prior mode and stays on.  Looking to see if a software update will fix this.  I have gone to https://www.toyota.com/owners/my-vehicle/audio-multimedia/connect.CAMRY.2017, but it seems to be Entune related, but I don't think my vehicle is compatible with that.

Thank you!

Man I've done firmware updates on my computers and other tech and let me be the first to tell you its a massive pain in the rear especially if something goes wrong during the update. I've seen people brick their devices trying to update. I wouldn't hold out hope for a software fix either but it can't hurt to ask Toyota and see what they say. Who knows they may have an update but... Likely there is no update and lord knows what you'd have to update exactly to get that fixed anyways. Plus this is something so very minor. I mean if something was horribly wrong with it maybe you could get a factory reset but that would have to come from Toyota anyways. If it's really that much of an inconvenience just get a cover to put over it or something.
