what is the best thing to do If i wont use my hybrid car for 3-4 months? Is it possibleTo take out the battery?
If you're not talking about the 12-volt battery, no. Hybrid batteries require an automotive electrician to take out, because the voltage can kill you.
What make model and year?
@kaizen 2024 Toyota Yaris cross
I recommend looking to how Prius owners stored their cars. It might be similar to my suggestion above.
Prius has similar tech to the Yaris Cross hybrid.
I don’t know of any hard and fast guidelines and I’ve never done it myself for so long.
In theory, both the 12V battery and the Hybrid battery can be disconnected. The 12V by disconnecting the negative terminal. And the hybrid, but removing the orange safety disconnect on the battery itself.
I’ve heard some makes suggest to keep the hybrid battery at 50% and some say 25%. And some makes say to force charge it every 2 months at least.
Be prepared to charge the 12V when you get back. That is long enough for it to get below the required voltage to start a car.
Ideally the car should be in be parked in the shade in a cool space.
The other things for storage like a normal car, like fuel stabilizer may also apply.
