Hydroboost Problem

Hi Scotty, I've been watching your videos for a long time and hopefully I can see this question come through on one as this is kind of a weird question and I'd love to hear you explain it

I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 with the Cummins Turbo Diesel engine and a hydroboost braking system. When the engine is running, the brake pedal takes around 4-5 seconds to fully come back up after being pressed. The power steering pump also hums loudly when pressing the brake and/or turning the wheel. My question is: how do I narrow down the problem to either be a faulty master cylinder or power steering pump? I have already replaced both front calipers, both rear wheel cylinders, and all of the brake lines and hoses.

Thanks and longtime fan,

are you having any problems with the power steering?

No. Steering is smooth and braking is powerful. But the humming seems to be coming from the pump. It gets louder when steering or pressing the brake
