  1. Scotty, watching yr videos I understand yr not a big fan of hyundai. I own a 2017 Elantra se with just under 80K miles and so far I'm very happy with it's realiability. I have 2 questions: what are your thoughts on their atkinson style engine. I researched it & was really surprised how long ago it was developed. The car gets phenomenal gas mileage with a recent trip from Southwest Virginia to New Jersey area and got a whopping 51.5 mi to the gallon. Typical trips generally get me into the mid 40s.
  2. My other question is how often should the radiator be flushed on this car. The owner's manual does not have a recommended interval for changing the coolant. Thanks so much and your channel is absolutely the best.

depends on the coolant u use but once every few years is generally how often to do that

i would use the best coolant and change it every 5 years

even though it lasts 7

I'm not a fan of Hyundai engines. If you've had zero issues with this engine then my hat goes off to you.

For the coolant- if it hasn't been changed at all then you could do it now to be safe. I wouldn't flush the radiator coolant out because the car is only 4 years old.
