- Scotty, watching yr videos I understand yr not a big fan of hyundai. I own a 2017 Elantra se with just under 80K miles and so far I'm very happy with it's realiability. I have 2 questions: what are your thoughts on their atkinson style engine. I researched it & was really surprised how long ago it was developed. The car gets phenomenal gas mileage with a recent trip from Southwest Virginia to New Jersey area and got a whopping 51.5 mi to the gallon. Typical trips generally get me into the mid 40s.
- My other question is how often should the radiator be flushed on this car. The owner's manual does not have a recommended interval for changing the coolant. Thanks so much and your channel is absolutely the best.

I'm not a fan of Hyundai engines. If you've had zero issues with this engine then my hat goes off to you.
For the coolant- if it hasn't been changed at all then you could do it now to be safe. I wouldn't flush the radiator coolant out because the car is only 4 years old.
