- Hi Scotty! Greetings from Michigan
- Here in the near future I will most likely be looking at a cheaper daily driver and was looking into a Camry. Which years are best and what years are ones to look out for. Budget will be about 6000
Toyota has had its fair share of poor quality in their camrys. The first ones had oil sludge issues. The 4-cylinder ones on the later models have oil burning issues and the 2012-2014 have transmission issues.

Not even close to most of the manufacturers. In my opinion, Toyota and Honda are still the best ones by far.
but with Toyota quality problems are the exception not the rule
and most of the problems r from lack of maintaining the vehicle not design
i believe scotty has a video on that check out his YouTube channel
i will see if i can get u a link in a latter answer or in this one
hopefully i can edit this answer but i will get back to u
i cant find the video no matter how much i look
maybe i was wrong
I have only heard of 2 issues regarding the Camry. First one is oil burning and the second one is fuel bump failure in the latest generation but both issues have been corrected.
