Hi Scotty,

Is the 4 cylinder engine in the 2021 Camry enough power?  I am thinking for around town it's perfect;  but what about on the highway and on hills?

Thanks

More than enough. You can go for a test drive and see it yourself.

Check out the horsepower rating. It should be enough. I think the inline 4 is the perfect get around town and on the freeway engine while not using too much gas.

Actually my father is buying it and he chose the 4 cylinder. He's been driving a Lincoln Town Car with a V-8 since 2008. So, I am thinking he's gonna have to get used to that 4 cylinder! He will love the gas mileage.

4cyl = 2.5L/203-hp/184-lb-ft DOHC 16-valve I-4 0-60mph 7.5 seconds and 1/4 mile in 15.1 seconds.

That's pretty good, but I'd ask the dealer if they have it available with a Muncie 4 spd. 😁

Had a chance to get a manual trans. when I bought my Corolla in 2006. There was one right next to the one I eventually bought, white with a stick shift. Should have grabbed it.
