Hey scotty, what do you think about Hyundai i30 1.4 109hp with manual transmission.?It’s on 220 thousand km.changed the spark plugs and one ignition coil on 210 thousand km .Changed the clutch on 211thousand km.Should I stick with it or buy a 2015 Mazda 6 2.5 192hp automatic transmission on 61 thousand km for 10 000 dollars? Thanks Smile

I would get the Mazda.

That Hyundai will shortly turn into a money pit once you cross 250,000 kms. I’d get the Mazda or look for a Toyota/Honda instead.

i looked at 2016 Honda Civic 2.0i 160hp with CVT transmission on 47 000 km but im not sure about this cvt.So what would be the better choice between this honda or the mazda?

Between the 6 & the Civic, I’d pick the one which was in better shape mechanically. Have it inspected by a good mechanic, before you buy it. The 6 has more space, however, the Civic will have lesser problems as it ages, assuming all else is equal.

The Civic CVT is pretty good Scotty has a video on it look it up it is the exact model 16 Civic 2.0 but the Mazda isn't a bad idea either but the Honda would last longer (assuming it follows its reputation). The only major issue with the newer Civics are oil dellution but that only applies to the 1.5 engine.

I live in Europe and the Mazda that im talking about is coming from USA while the Honda is coming from Switzerland and thats why Mazda takes the edge over the honda in this case. Also the space and the horsepower of the Mazda tempts me more.If we assume both are in good shape, the exterior of Mazda is better in my opinion.About the interior im not sure which i like best. The interior of the Mazda feels a little bit more luxurious.

The Mazda is definitely the better pick. They definitely hold up better than Hyundai especially since they teamed up with Toyota. Just make sure you get a mechanic to check it out first.

Mazda for sure, especially since the Hyundai is on burrowed time at 220,000 km (136,700 miles).

Stay completely away from Hyundai. Numerous engine problems, use cheap electronics and parts. They have a class action on them right now for faulty motor coming out of the US plant.
