You were right government won't sell me an Abrams tank! Settled to stay with my 2013 Cadillac XTS. Dropped four grand or more repairing suspension and the Chinese struts are banging already brand new! Still owe 5 Grand but with wacky prices now I'm getting offers up to nine grand or more. Well Scotty I think you may have saved my Cadillac XTS. The transmission was banging into second and third gear on hard acceleration so I started using the manual setting and letting it shift a little quicker in sport. For the first time ever since I got the car I used the paddle shifters on a dirt road in a state forest. When I finally got out of the state park the thing was stuck in second gear! I pulled over called OnStar then they told me that some sensor was showing a fault with the transmission, no kidding? So I shut the car off and restarted it and thankfully it started shifting again but it was acting funny. Took it to a shop that I trusted and the engine light had gone out. They found the same codes turned out to be a solenoid that is inside the transmission but only handles when you're using sport mode in the paddle shifters. I had them drain out a quart of brand new fluid that unfortunately I had another shop flush the system causing even more problems as you said. I had a bottle of Lucas transmission seal and told them to put it in which takes forever because it's like molasses. I drove out and it's smoother than ever! Also had them rebalance all the tires and Wheels because I had somebody rotate them recently and it had lots of highway noise. It handles better and the highway noise dissipated some. All thanks to you my friend! A question? Should I hang on to the car because I can't seem to find another? Some joker paid Cadillac dealer 18 Grand over the sticker for an escalade!
