I have a 2008 Ford F-150 5.4 Triton. It has 207k miles mostly hwy miles, (I know the previous owner, he got it after it had 80k miles). My conflict is, the tranny pan has a leak and he never did serviced it. Would I be okay to drop the pan, clean the...

You could drain and save the fluid, then replace the pan gasket and refill it with what you drained.  That might be the safest bet based on its high mileage.
