Hey Scotty. Ive got a 2008 Jeep Wrangler with the 3.8 liter engine, automatic, it now has about 220k miles. No crazy modifications, just 33 inch road tires. The transmission was rebuilt about 3 years ago (22k miles ago) by Aamco by a previous owner. He gave me the paperwork but the warranty expired a while ago. Ive owned it for 2 years. I am now getting a shuttering noise and feeling when the jeep reaches between 12 and 1400 rpm between 45 and 54 mph. It drives and sounds fine at lower speeds and higher speeds as long as Im not in that 12 to 1400 rpm range. Do you think that would that be differential or transmission related? Thanks bud your the best out there!

If you are getting RPM specific shuttering, it's likely a transmission problem. And that's the issue with rebuilding modern transmissions: very few places know how to do it correctly and they don't last as long as a replacement.

You likely have something internal going on and will need to visit a transmission shop for diagnosis.

Thanks, what i figured.
