Hello,
I have a NON stock setup. Putting a custom built 5.3 gen IV Chevy LS from 2009 suburban into my 69 galaxie hot rod convertible. My son have been building this engine for years now and finally got it to run. Sprung for this Holley Terminator X kit and got it to run but it is running rich and computer is not registering rpm so it will not idle. It does rev up and it obviously very powerful. We have already switched out the crank and the cam sensor so far but computer says no rpm signal. ANY HELP APPRECIATED! I'd really like to get this thing to run right and we are very close. Engine has non stock cam in it called a Truck Norris cam from Brian tooley racing.
We are stumped!

computer says no rpm signal
you need to approach the problem logically, and test each link in the chain to find out where the problem is. (This applies to any problem).
sensor > harness > computer
All three components are supported by your car's electrical system, so make sure it's up to snuff. Load test battery, alternator, and make sure all battery and ground connections are clean and tight. Go over all your fuses and relays and make sure they're working. Measure the voltage output.
Then I would put a scope, or multimeter with frequency mode right on the sensor and make sure it's generating a signal. Now you have eliminated it as a cause. Then move to the wiring.
Probe at the PCM. If the signal is getting all the way there, and the computer doesn't see it, then the PCM is probably faulty. If there is no signal, then it's getting lost in the harness somewhere.
Deduction, my dear Watson.
Go over the detailed instructions again that came with the fuel injection setup, you may have missed something. If that doesn't work call Holley, they made it.
