I have a toyota highlander with 326k miles. Runs great no problems but the transmission suddenly shifts in and out of 4th gear down to 3rd then back up. What could i start checking?
Any codes?
I’ve tried scanning it on a couple different occasions. My scanner just says error. Works on all of my vehicles.

When was the last time you changed the fluid and filter, as per the maintenance schedule???
Its actually not mine. Its a co-workers of mine that just bought it to drive to Tennessee(foreigner) i will ask him. He mentioned maybe a knock sensor. Would that cause it?
