i have a 2001 vw passat 1.8t Manual transmission. car started to pull to the right, i replace the right tie-rod only. i have the alignment made. i need to replace both sides because the inner tie-rods have to much play. specially with this weather i am not able to be outiside for long to do the job correctly. All brake pads and rotors have been placed. the car pulls to the left a little.
i have not replace the struts. would a worn strut make the car sway to the left? specially if the brake is applied
thank you for you help.
A warrant strut could but of course you know the inner tight rods are shot they'll do it too I would wait until you can do the inner tie rods myself
Certainly could. But if you do not see the struts leaking, I would look elsewhere first.
Heck, any loose front end parts can cause it to pull while braking.
And if your weather is like here in Detroit, the ice build up can cause issues.
My car is shaking like a leaf at highway speeds due to ice inside the rims.
