2002 LEXUS ES 300

I decided to disconnect my battery. Had trouble removing the positive terminal so I left it in the car with the negative terminal completely disconnected and the positive terminal half way off because I lost a bolt 🔩. Doing this in attempt to reset codes.

Anyway, next day get back screw everything back together, car starts, I turn it off, go to start it again and the car is not starting. The dashboard lights come on delayed, but the engine just makes this low " distant fog horn " like sound. Also the beeping the car makes when the key is the ignition and the door are open comes on, beepping continuously.

The engine hardly makes any sound, just a low hum. I ended up disconnecting my battery completely to let my friend charge it for me. Going to pick it up today. Think that might be the issue or something else??

Load test the the battery (Autozone and others will do that for free).

Check the cables are tightened good, and no wires from the cables are loose or corroded.

Look for where the ground cable is bolted to the frame.  Loosen and clean that connection.

Thanks Carlos... the thing is it's as if my ignition is jammed or something is stuck in my key hole...the key does not click over to even stall. It's like something has been completely clogged or disconnected??

Oh, that's even more annoying.
Try a different key. Jiggle the shift lever and tap on the brake. Pull the steering wheel back and forth.
If that doesn't help re-post your issue. Others may have a better idea how to fix.
