I have a 2005 Hyundai Elantra GLS auto with 249,060 miles and the check engine light is on and I scanned for codes and I got P0030 and P2237. P0030 abs P2237 are stored codes and both codes are also pending. Help

The car is telling you to put it out of it's misery.  LOL

I mean I did have the car since new when it had 42 miles on it, but the tranny is acting up now.

P0030 is HO2S Heater Control Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 1

P2237 is O2 Sensor Positive Current Control Circuit/Open Bank 1 Sensor 1

See below for troubleshooting:

Disclaimer *I am not a mechanic, but from what I looked on the internet these codes are related to the O2 sensor. It could be that the wiring circuit is shortened, maybe not a bad idea to check before buying anything.

Now in my opinion a 2005 hyundai with that mileage is not worth much, if it runs fine I'd keep it going until it dies.

Well if it runs fine just drive it until it dies. Before buying any repair, see what your car is worth now.
