Hi scotty please give me your opinion on which is better in terms of reliability, running costs, maintenance costs etc.

These are equivalent to Honda Fit and Toyota Corolla. Both are reliable but I would vote for the Corolla.

The Honda Brio is tiny, the Auris is somewhat Corolla sized. Are they the same price in your area?
