Hi Scotty Does an IAC sensor affect your fuel economy As you are driving as mine has gone from 10 litres per 100 kms to 15 per 100
All the sensors are new except the Iac

Its on my Holden 1991 v6 3800 series 2 here in Australia

compression on the motor is good both banks

leak down test is 10% left bank and 20 % right bank

Drives find little rough idle

plenty of power and no check engine light on

computer says car is fine

injectors are new that glow the same as original

250000 kms

economy changed start of this year

Thanks

John

  • It could but with that where on the lake down test engine is obviously relatively worn

@scottykilmer
Compression was all ok on all 6 cylinder
So I imagine the valve train area
So would you say the IAC would be still be affecting the fuel while driving
Lots of traffic where I am and I spend a lot of tome stopped at traffic lights idelling and the fuel mixture is very rich
