So for a while my G37 2013 awd has been acting funny the past few weeks dipping in 3rd rpm only when accelerating, I took my car in for a thorttle body cleaning and relearn but my car completed the closed procedure. However the car failed the idle air relearn procedure after 3 attempts they still couldn't get it to go through. Dealer thinks it's the throttle body but is it possibly the idle air control valve?? I just want to go small before paying for a big part just for gently touching my throttle bodies when cleaning it prior. There's no surging or anything like that either, only a dip when accelerating at 3rd gear to 4th. My milage is at 77,678 miles. Any help on what could cause this would be greatly appriciative!!

Then is it possible that it's the throttle body I touched on the passenger side? That's the only one I touched
You really need to start scanning for codes and live data before jumping to any conclusions. Best to stay away from the dealer and find a good local mechanic who knows what he's doing.

That vehicle doesn't have one, per the rockauto.com database. Those went the way of the dinosaurs when electronic throttles came in.

So an update, I ended up not finding a dealer that was able to listsen and figure out the problem since they don't seem to understand how I am producing the problem despite me telling them and it has ended up with today. My car now rattles only upon acceleration it sounds directly under me and only upon acceleration, it really likes that 3rd gear with the dip and then after getting out of low rpm ranges it stops and continues as normal, acceleration is sluggish now. I got some data scans and everything seems to be coming up as normal to but my exhuast places I got to got my driver side rusted out flex pipe replaced but said if I still hear a sound directly under me it's possible it could be the cats causing my issue this entire time.
