Reduced power mode after extended idling

My truck keeps going in to reduced power mode if I let it idle too long. I kept getting the code for the throttle pedal sensor. I talked to mechanic friend locally and he said it usually the throttle body sensor when that happens. So I bought an oem throttle body  and changed. It still did it, so I bought the fuel pedal assembly. It is still doing it. I check the plug and could visibly see anything wrong and wires feels good.  Was told may have to take to dealer and let them reflash the computer even though they're supposed to be self learning. I'm on disability and cannot afford to spend another $140  to let dealer reflash computer and it still not work. Have you run into this. From what I've read it is a common problem with chevy vehicles since they went to electronic throttle. But I've replaced both parts that usually cause problem. I don't have codes currently. Sorry so long, trying to be thorough.

Well either you have some type of wiring problem. A loose connection, a bad wire or the computer module is getting hot and shortened out. It's going to take a pro to figure that out. Only somebody to dealership is going to have that kind of experience and tools
