Instrument Cluster in 08 Cobalt

Scotty, ever since I’ve owned my Cobalt the instrument cluster lights have not worked. I adjust the dimmer switch and the lights on the illumination for the cluster don’t do anything, but the lights do adjust on the message center and the radio. I’ve checked all fuses including the cluster fuse (10 A), park lamp (10 A), and BCM2 fuse (40 A), none are blown. Could it be a possible wiring issue or maybe somehow someway all three bulbs went out for the speedometer, tachometer, and gas gauge?

Its possible all three bulbs are out. Take the cluster out and check them. If they are dark looking dont even test them. Replace them.

Most LED bulbs to replace cluster bulbs are crap. Just replace them with the originals and be done with the problem.

If you have more problems, get back to me on this. I will help you. This problem can be killed easily. Good luck and God bless. AE
