I was just comparing insurance quotes on some cars. I compared Three BMW M cars, a C5 Z06 Corvette, and my mom's toyota camry. I am 16 and just wanted to see how much insurance I would pay if I either inherited my mom's camry or bought the other cars. Any way the corvette and M cars were in the $100-$125 range per month, which is a lot but for a 16 year old not crazy. The 04 Camry was $200! I thought it would be $60-$75 a month. I kept all of the settings the same and this is the result. I just wanted to ask why this is, and who knows of good insurance deals. I would save about a $1000 a year if I had the more fun cars which doesn't make sense to me. Any input would be great. Thanks!
I'd inherit the Camry and shop around
In Europe, where I live, insurance is based on vehicle's power and a price of a new one.
Sometimes there is no apparent reason why insurance companies do what they do. Also, just because the fun cars are cheaper to insurance with one company doesn't mean that the Camry won't be cheaper to insure that the fun cars with other companies. If you are looking for insurance you want to go through a broker.

i think you may be able to beat that $200/month by shopping around
we use an independent agent and so far they have provided the lowest cost with decent quality, we have travelers
