Generally they become endless money pits at that mileage

Definetly a cheap hunk of rubbish. I wouldn't even think about getting a 14 year old one.

btw, Also the engine design is one from an alliance with Hyundai. Another version is made by Volkswagen. They were manufactured by DaimlerChrysler and Chrysler. The platform of the vehicle is a Mitsubishi platform, you guessed it, used in Fiats and Citroens.
I don't think I'd want to own one. Look elsewhere.

Check out the horror stories on the internet for this nightmare vehicle.

I would pass on it!  Whatever money you save upfront getting that vehicle will then come back and cost you in repairs, and then you will be back to square one.

Here’s a glimpse of issues with that vehicle:

Run away fast, endless moneypit, do not buy that car if you value your money.

My younger brother had an SRT-4 model. Super fun to drive after we modified the heck out of it. However, it should be noted that when something broke I fixed it at my shop for free so he didn't have the repair expenses someone else would.

I would avoid it. They were cheaply made and the only reason to buy one was to get the SRT package and soup it up. The regular models were never very good.

It uses a Jatco CVT Transmission. Jatco + CVT not a good combination.

It's a piece of junk.  Get something else that will last you longer like a Corolla or Accord.
