2013 Lexus RX350, 63,000 miles. Suspension feels normal, no wheel bearing noises, no clunks, tires in great condition and matching.
In perfectly dry weather and during a medium to hard stop the brakes will intermittently grind on the last few feet of the stop.
It could be ABS but I don't get the brake pedal pulsating like I'm used to feeling.
I plan to take it to a shop but I'm wondering if there's anything specific with the brakes that I could check myself first. Maybe I can avoid taking it in.
The rotors might be warped. If you stop the vehicle at highway speed, do you feel shake in the steering wheel?
No. I have thought about just doing pads and rotors and see what happens.
It was a Minnesota car before I got it. I think it was garaged a lot. They had 3 other vehicles but I don't know. Rust underneath is superficial surface rust. On the other hand I know rotors are bare metal and maybe sitting a lot hurt them.
