That's nonsense. Check the FAQ under Maintenance. You'll find several excellent videos by Scotty
Check condition of battery terminals, check grounds (especially ground from engine to chassis), and do a voltage drop test on the cables.

Thanks I do some more checking I've been leaning towards bad battery cables since it's a 30 year old truck
